Nurses are the most responsible, caring, and trusted people I know.
Nursing has been considered the most trusted profession for the past nineteen years (gallup.com).
Many nurses are outstanding clinicians who provide excellent patient care, delivering exceptional results for their patients and employers. For this, and many other reasons too innumerable to list here, nurses are frequently promoted to leadership positions.
Who better to lead a team than someone who knows how to do the job and do it well?
Sadly, many newly promoted nurse managers do not make the impact they – and their employer – had hoped for, resulting in stress, poor employee retention, and declining clinical and financial outcomes.
The answer to both questions is leadership coaching.
I wrote this book because I want all nurse managers to have the resources to become Impactful and Influential Leaders. The book provides a blueprint on how to establish a strong leadership foundation.
